You love Florida and so do I. It is a great place to live, work, play, learn and raise a family. But at certain times of the year, we must protect ourselves, our family and our property from the threat of the severe storms that sometimes come our way.

The rule is simple. Because street flooding, fallen trees and downed power lines may make it impossible for our County or City emergency services to reach us, we need to be prepared to help ourselves! So, in the event of a hurricane or other major emergency, you must be prepared to survive on your own for 72 hours.
