Our Customer Service Department provides friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable information to the public in person, by telephone, by correspondence, and by electronic mail. Assistance is provided for Homestead Exemption along with many other exemption applications which are taken throughout the year per statutory guidelines.
Our Exemptions Department is responsible for the administration of all exemptions-homestead, widow, widower, disability, limited income senior, and disabled Veteran’s exemptions as well as Organizational and Non-Profit exemptions. The Exemptions staff creates and reviews new applications to confirm eligibility per the Florida Statutes.
Within this department, we also have an Investigations Unit. Our investigators are responsible for reviewing allegations of improper exemptions throughout the County to make sure the applicants are still within compliance with the statutory guidelines.
